Flower Tea - A Gift For Tea And Art Lovers
Flower tea originated in the southwest of Yunnan province of China where they are still prepared today. Flower tea, better known as blooming tea are handmade tea bowls prepared by combining gourmet tea along with flowers like aromatic flowers.
A ball like structure is formed by compressing the gourmet tea leaf and stitching it with a cotton thread. Some may experiment with shape of that of a Mushroom or a simple cone. Sometimes they are scented with floral blossoms to bring an aromatic effect and it undergoes some oxidation and rigorous drying process before the same is ready for use.
The tea is then dipped into a tea pot filled with lukewarm water and it progressively unfurls into a floral structure as the viewers witness an ethereal experience. The tea is then allowed to steep for a few minutes and then decanted to be served to drinkers. The gourmet really must be decanted just a few minutes following the opening of the leaves for the best results. If allowed to steep longer, it is likely to affect the taste badly and spoil the whole effort.
Flowering tea is usually prepared in a glass teapot or in a transparent surface as to give a better view for the viewers. Some of the more common flowers used for this tea are Chrysanthemum, Lily, Sweet Olive, Marigold, Peony, as well as several others. Lychee Nut Flower, Jasmine Pu-Erh, and Lily Fairy Black are just a few of the most popular blooming teas.
The benefits of blooming teas with respect to health cannot be overlooked. In addition to combating fatigue and stress, these teas help people reduce the fat content of their bodies. Both young and old enjoy this refreshing drink which leaves an aromatic taste long after the first drink is taken.
Lily fairy is yet another gourmet loose tea variety that unfolds to form a beautiful floral bloom once dipped into water. It is made from high grade Black tea, Jasmine and Lily. Its stunning beauty and sweet flavor are qualities that endear this variety of flowering tea to a large number of tea drinkers
Lily is beneficial to the central nervous system, and Jasmine contributes to the health of the liver, lungs, and kidneys. Preparing this type of tea is much like the method used for preparing a Jasmine tea. All you need is a pot of hot boiling water in a glass tea pot. Immerse a single tea each time into the pot to watch it bloom into a lovely bouquet of flowers. This gourmet is only good for around thirty days, in contrast to the Jasmine Pu Erh tea. If so desired, it can be served using cold water.
If you need to come up with thoughtful gifts to surprise friends or a hostess, flowering teas that have been prepared using Gourmet loose tea make good choices. The delightful flavors, aromas, and unique beauty flowering tea offers to its drinker makes it a wonderful gift for the adventurous connoisseur.
